The FC 2000 is a vocal cable identifier. It detects de-energised cables for LV, MV and HV underground and overhead systems. It can be used to identify a particular cable in a trench or a duct. The FC 2000 can also be used for the identification of the 3 conductors (A, B, C) of a de-energised and a short circuited three-phase system, in a single operation.

The FC 2000 is linked to the use of the short-circuit/earthing systems in one or two of the cable ends. There is no need to disconnect the earthing devices or to open the earthing switches during the operation. This protects against supply feedback and simplifies the operating procedure.
