Special braked swivels should be used on the 2000kg and 3000kg Undergound Cable Winches to protect the wire bond. If an unbraked swivel is used, the tension on the bond will cause it to unravel due to the way the bond is wrapped. A braked swivel does not allow this to happen, thus protecting the bond.
